The Design & Crafts Council of Ireland (DCCoI) is currently seeking to appoint a Chief Executive Officer (CEO).
DCCoI is the national agency for the commercial development of Irish designers and makers, stimulating innovation, championing design thinking and informing Government policy. Its vision is a world where the work of Irish designers and makers is recognised and valued for enriching Ireland’s economy, culture and society. DCCoI’s activities are funded by the Department of Business, Enterprise and Innovation via Enterprise Ireland.
Reporting to the Board of Directors, the CEO leads and manages the Design & Crafts Council of Ireland on behalf of the Board by creating, communicating and implementing the organisation’s vision, mission and overall direction.
The CEO has executive responsibility for DCCoI’s operations, compliance and performance and is the public face of the organisation, meeting and networking within the sector as well as outside the sector seeking new commercial opportunities. The CEO’s remit is to drive the performance and commercial potential of the Irish design and craft sector in measurable and visible ways.
DCCoI operates in a very dynamic and challenging marketplace, with many opportunities to consider. As the organisation approaches its 50th anniversary in 2021, this is an opportune time for the right individual to lead the Council in this next exciting phase of its development and impact.
As CEO, you will be rewarded with a competitive remuneration package as well as being a key part of the success that will sustain and develop this vibrant organisation for years to come. This outstanding opportunity will suit someone looking for purpose and meaning in their career.
